"Negro Baseball Club is Organized Here - The Fort Worth Colored Baseball Company has been organized in this city with J. Amsey Lagon of Fort Worth as president. Enoch Whittaker, owner of the Dallas Black Gaints of Dallas has been named vice president and James Whitlow of Fort Worth manager. The team will be known as the Black Panthers, and the players will be picked from the best negro aggregations in the country. The schedule of the Colored League is being rearranged so as to include the Black Panthers and the following teams of the league: Waco Black Navigators, Dallas Black Giants, Beaumont Black Oilers, Shreveport Black Senators and Houston Black Buffaloes. The citizens of Fort Worth can be assured of some clean fast ball playing at Panther Park when the white league team is out of the city. The Fort Worth Hornet, a local negro newspaper will carry a sporting page with a statistical report and the standing of the teams composing the league. The opening games with the Austin Black Senators are scheduled here for Tuesday and Wednesday, May 6 and 7, at Panther Park."

"Black Senators Down Fort Worth Wonders. - Fort Worth, Texas, May 7. - Austin Black Senators defeated the Fort Worth Wonders here yesterday by a score of 10 to 11 before one of the best mid-week crowds in many days. The game presented many thrills for the spectators. The Wonders made a hard fight overcoming a six run lead with Austin nosing out at the stretch. Batteries for Austin - McClure, Alexander and Carrington, Fort Worth, Price and Johnson."

"Black Navs Victors - The opening game between the Black Navigators of Austin and the Fort Worth Black Panthers marking the entrance of the Fort Worth Black Panthers in the Colored League, resulted in victory for the former, 11 to 10. The Fort Worth aggregation, although composed of some of the best baseball talent in the State, was a little raw in the first three rounds and allowed the Black Naviators to count six times in the second inning. Five scores were registered by the Panthers in the third. The hard hitting Navigators broke away in the succeeding rounds, rolling their side up to 11 in the last half of the ninth. The two clubs will play again today at 3:30 p.m. at Panther Park."

"Black Panthers Win - The Fort Worth Black Panthers defeated the Black Broncs of San Antonio Wednesday at Panther Park by the score of 3 to 1. The game was played before a large delegation of colored fans. The same clubs will play again this afternoon, the game being called at 3:30 pm."

"Fort Worth Wonders Here Sunday and Monday. - Sunday and Monday, June 15 and 16 will present to local fans their first look over at the Ham Branch celebrities who report on above mentioned days for a pair of conflicts with Jones's Black Giants. The Cow town boys have always served the Giants regime with a dish of tough steaks until their appetite for cow meat have been wholly exterminated. Fort Worth has always been a dangerous bunch, but the Giants could always take 'em to toy. Come and see 'em."

"Black Panthers to Meet Broncs Here - The Black Panthers of Fort Worth have two games scheduled with the Black Bronchos of San Antonio, the first of which will be played this afternoon at Panther Park. The Panthers recently scored a victory over the Dallas Giants and have won a majority of their games over the other colored clubs in the state. The game today will be started at 3:30 pm.
