"Elsterites Play Chicago Giants - Jess Elster's Colored Athletics will meet the Chicago Giants in two games July 4 and 6 at Ramona Park. The Giants are one of the best traveling teams of the Windy City and are fortified by having in their lineup Jones and Manning, with the Athletics last season. Manager Elster has secured two new men for his team, one being Almendia Moralls, a Cuban pitcher from New York City, and the other Carter, a catcher, from Detroit."
