"Kansas City Colts in the Field. - Presented by Managers Dorsey and Price - The Fastest Aggregation Ever. - Kansas City, Missouri, A. Dorsey, one of the greatest base ball generals known West of the Mississippi river and A.S. Price, who knows the game from a to z, and one of the best all-round ball players in the game locally, have organized a base ball team known as the Kansas City Colts. These two base ball heads propose to put in the game this season one of the fastest colored aggegations that has represented Kansas City and expect to present this team through the East and the Southern part of the country the coming season. They would like to hear from all fast clubs in these localities. We only ask reasonable terms. Headquarters Live Wire Pool Hall and Barber Shop, 17th East 12th, Bell PHone East 4195Y. "Kansas City Colts Baseball Team Would Like to Hear From Good Clubs. - Kansas City, April 27, 1914. - We advertised a week or two ago through the medium of your paper that we would like to meet all fast teams east and southeast of the Mississippi. We want to appear there some time in June. We have not heard from any of the managers as yet. We are anxious to hear from them and they can communicate with us by addressing headquarters at 1710 East Twelfth street. We would like very much to hear from some fast team at Louisville and Cincinnati."

"Kansas City Colts Open Season June 7. - To the Freeman: - The Kansas City Colts, formerly the Cyclones, will open their season Sunday, June 7, at Association Park, 20th and Olive Street, with a big double header, the first game between the Mohawks and Royal Americans, second game the fast Ninth Cavalry detachment team of Fort Leavenworth and the Kansas City Colts."

"The Kansas City Colts Defeat a Fast White Aggregation. - Special to the Freeman: The Kansas City Colts defeated the B. Flood's, the fastest white team in the city, last Sunday at Association Park in a well played game, 3 to 2, making their seventh straight victory. The Colts are the only semi-pro colored team in Kansas City that have a park and would like to hear from all fast teams wishing games in Kansas City."
