"G.E. Judy, Indian teacher at the Tama reservation, was here Tuesday trying to arrange a game of baseball between the Tama Indians and a local nine for a game here soon. The Indians Monday scored a victory at Tama when they defeated the Tennessee Rats, a well known traveling aggregation of colored players, by a score of 9 to 8. The Rats have the reputation of being a fast bunch of professional players, but the Indians found their pitchers for fifteen hits."
