"Talcott of Yale Defeats Lincolns - Pitches Winning Ball for Paterson Silk Sox. - Frank Talcott, Yale's pitching sensation last spring, when he won ten of the eleven victories credited to the Elis, made his first appearance in this city yesterday afternoon. Talcott, who is the son of a one time leading stockholder in the Giants, pitched for the Doherty Silk Sox of Paterson against the Lincoln Giants at Olympic Field. He allowed only two hits in five innings and the Silk Sox won by 4 to 0. In the first game the Lincolns defeated the Newark STars by 6 to 4 in twelve innings."

"Yale Star Again Pitches Fine Game - Talcott Holds Lincolns to Four Hits. - Frank Talcott of Yale yesterday pitched the Paterson Silk Sox to their second successive victory over the Lincoln Giants by 4 to 1 at Olympic Field. The Lincolns got only four hits. The Silk Sox, who presented practically an all major league lineup, put the game on ice in the first inning with two counters. In the first game the Newark Stars again won from the Lincolns by 3 to 2. Next Sunday the Lincolns will play the Giants."

"Talcott At Last Last Loses to Lincolns - Yale Pitcher Victim of a Batting Rally. - After two failures the Lincoln Giants finally got the gauge of the delivery of Frank Talcott of Yale yesterday afternoon, at Olympic Field, and defeated the Paterson Silk Sox by 5 to 2. In the first game the Lincolns defeated the Newark Stars, who also had beaten them twice, by 2 to 1. The Lincolns beat Talcott in a batting rally in the third, and it netted four runs."

"Dyckman Oval Games. - Newark Stars and New London Team to Play Kingsbridge Nine. - The Newark Stars, contenders for the semi-pro championship of New Jersey will make their first local appearance at Dyckman Oval, near the 207th street subway, this afternoon to play the Kingsbridge nine in the feature of a double header. In the first game New London will play Kingsbridge."

"Two Games for Kingsbridge. - Reorganized Team Defeats New London and Newark Stars. - With an entirely new infield and outfield, the reoganized Kingsbridge Athletics yesterday made an auspicious debut at Dyckman Oval with a double victory. The team beat the New London club, 12 to 0 in the first game, and the Newark Stars, 7 to 4 in the second. Next Sunday the Kingsbridge nine will play the College Point team and the Camp Merritt team."
