"Cubans at Ridgewood - The Cuban Stars, who recently arrived from Havana, will make their second appearance of the season at the Ridgewood Grounds on Decoration Day, when they will clash in a double header with the Royal Giants. Three years ago the Cubans in Havana played against an all star American team that was composed mostly of members of the Royal Giants. The Royals will have Harvey and Williams on the mound and the Cubans will use Suarez and Calderon."

"Royal Giants Still At It. - The Royal Giants added two more victories to their long list by defeating the Cuban Stars at Ridgewood yesterday by scores of 2 to 1 and 8 to 4."

"McKenty Hammered Hard by Cuban Star Batters - Strawbridge and Clothier's Star Boxman Driven From Mound in the Fifth Inning - 'Bill' McKenty, the star pitcher of the Strawbridge and Clothier team, met his Waterloo in the game with the Cuban Stars, when he was knocked out of the box at the beginning of the fifth inning. Tortetti, the first sacker of the Cubans, hit McKenty's offerings to all parts of the lot. In the second he hit one over the fence for a homer, and in the fifth his triple started the downfall of McKenty."

"Cubans Win Double Bill. - The Cuban Stars of Havana went on a batting rampage yesterday at the Ridgewood grounds, where they swamped the Bushwicks in a double header, 7 to 1 and 16 to 7. The Havana boys made twenty-eight hits."

"Cuban Stars Win - Defeat Potter A.A. in Fast Game 6 to 2 - Potter & Charmichael Oil Cloth Works Athletic Association received defeat at the hands of the Cuban Stars, of Havana, in a fast game yesterday, 6 to 2. Bunched hits and three errors gave the Cubans two runs in the second session and three in the sixth. Potter rallied in the sixth when R. Taggert singled, stole second and scored on Hulme's single to center. Hulme scored on Nolan's long drive. R. Tagggert played an exceptionally good game in centerfield, it being his great catches that cut off runs. The fielding of Hulme, Rothwell and Mackin featured for the Oilcloth team."

"Lincolns Annex Series. - Beat Cuban Stars of Havana Seven Games to Six. - As a result of dividing a double header at Olympic Field yesterday the Lincoln Giants annexed the series with the Cuban Stars of Havana by seven games to six. The Lincolns won the first game yesterday, 4 to 1, and were defeated in the second, 8 to 7. The Cubans will leave for Havana early this week. Next Sunday the Lincolns will continue their series with the Royal Giants."

"Cubans Divide Honors. - The Cuban Stars of Havana defeated the Bushwicks in the first game of a twin bill at Ridgewood yesterday, 4 to 2, then were beaten in the second game, 7 to 6. Both were well played."

"Cubans Take Twin Bill. - In two well played games at Olympic Field yesterday the Cuban Stars of Havana defeated the Lincoln Giants, 6 to 1 and 9 to 6. Heavy hitting featured both games. Next Sunday the Lincolns will play the Maujer Athletic Club and Ironsides."

"Rain Stops Game in Seventh. - Lincoln Giants Defeat Cuban Stars by 6 to 4. - The Lincoln Giants and Cuban Stars were able to play only seven innings of the first game of a double header at Olympic Field yesterday, rain putting an end to the proceedings. The Lincolns won, 6 to 4, through a rally in the seventh that netted three runs. Next Sunday the Lincolns will play a double header with the Royal Giants."
