"Win Out In Tenth. - Marcos Defeated Bowers' Easterns of Columbus, 3 to 2. - Dayton, Ohio - (Special) - The Marcos defeated Bower's Easterns from Columbus Sunday at Westwood field in one of the greatest games staged there this season, score 3 to 2. For ten innings it was a pitcher's battle between Henry, the lanky southpaw, and Donnie Dunn. The latter not only pitched the game of his life, but fielded his position in fine style - scored two runs and drove in two. The fielding of Ware and Bock at the keystone corner was of the sensational order. The visitors took the lead, Henry holding the Marcos scoreless until the sixth, when Dock came all the way from first on Dunn's single. The Mathew's crowd scored another in the eighth on clean hitting, tying the score. In the tenth inning, with two out, Dock and Dunn hit and Johnnie Carr drove the ball to the center field fence, winning a well-played game. Oke Richard's indicator work made a big hit with the crowd. The game was fast and exciting, being played in one hour and 25 minutes."
